Transparency in the Use of Artificial Intelligence

Modern applications and systems based on artificial intelligence (AI) may be used on this website to support editorial and design processes.

This page is intended to provide transparent information about how AI technologies may be used in the creation, editing and presentation of individual content.

AI-assisted texts

Artificial intelligence may be used as a supporting tool for planning, structuring, drafting, translating, revising, updating and search engine optimisation of texts.

This may apply in particular to news, guides, information texts, headings, summaries and content relating to vehicles, mobility, service and other industry topics.

The extent to which AI is used may vary depending on the content. For example, AI may assist with developing topics, suggesting wording or creating and revising draft texts.

Published content is selected, prepared and approved for publication as part of the relevant editorial and technical processes. Artificial intelligence serves as an aid and does not replace the editorial decision on whether content is published.

AI-generated images and illustrations

News, guides and information pages in particular may contain images, illustrations, graphics or other visual content that has been created, edited or optimised in whole or in part using artificial intelligence.

This visual content is used primarily to illustrate the subject matter and support the design of editorial content.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, such images may be symbolic or illustrative in nature. They therefore need not be authentic photographs of real vehicles, people, locations, buildings, events or situations that actually exist.

Depicted vehicles, equipment, colours, registration plates, people, environments and other details may differ from real circumstances or may be freely designed.

No binding depiction of specific offers

AI-assisted texts and illustrations are used for general information and editorial presentation.

For specific vehicles, products or services, only the information on the relevant vehicle detail page, in the individual offer, in the contractual documents or in direct communication is authoritative.

In particular, editorial illustrations do not constitute a binding depiction of a specifically offered vehicle, its equipment or its actual condition.

Transparency notices

Content for which AI technologies were used, or may have been used, in its creation or visual design may be provided with an appropriate transparency notice and a reference to this page.

The notices described on this page apply to the texts, images, illustrations and editorial content marked accordingly.

Content whose design could be mistaken for an authentic recording of a real event or a real person may additionally carry a notice directly alongside the relevant content.

Responsible use of AI

Artificial intelligence is used to support editorial workflows, present information clearly and supplement content visually.

It is used with the aim of not misleading visitors about the nature or origin of the content presented. Reports of possible errors or misleading depictions may be submitted using the contact details provided in the legal notice.

Legal framework

When artificial intelligence is used, the applicable legal requirements are taken into account. These include, in particular, Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on artificial intelligence, insofar as its provisions apply to the relevant use case.

As legal requirements, official guidelines and technical standards may continue to evolve, this information may be amended as necessary.
